Marketplace is an ecommerce-like platform with public-sector specific controls built-in where state and local buyers can research new sourcing options and suppliers, find your contracts and other cooperative contracts, and browse supplier catalogs and punchouts.
Search engine
It includes a sophisticated search engine that makes it easy to find the right contract and information. Shop supports NIGP codes, supplier types, filters, favorites, saved searches, user-created lists, and more to ensure that users find the information they need and get the most out of the platform.
Shopping cart
As buyers browse catalogs, they can select items they want to buy and save them to a shopping cart. Because the Marketplace is integrated with SOVRA’s eProcurement solution, when a buyer is ready to make a purchase, a requisition with all the necessary information is created from the shopping cart, automatically starting the purchasing process. If the buyer is from another organization, they can export the shopping cart in various formats compatible with most financial systems and upload it to their ERP to begin the process.
Access and content controls
A wide range of robust controls, access rights, and permission levels can be customized to ensure you maintain control over what contracts, documents, or information is available to different types of users. When allowing suppliers to manage their own catalogs, controls can be set to require validation of price modifications, protection against unauthorized changes, and more.
